Now that "Rick and Morty" season 2 wrapped up, viewers have been waiting for "Rick and Morty" Season 3 to finally premiere. Sadly, it seems that the wait for the third installment of the animated comedy series is not over yet. "Rick and Morty" Season 3 was expected to debut before 2016 will end. Obviously, that did not happen. Numerous reports revealed that the development of the highly-anticipated "Rick and Morty" season 3 may be delayed.
"Rick and Morty" is not your typical animated series which makes it intriguing to a lot of viewers. The show knows how to push the envelope and is not afraid to tackle some unique circumstances. With the show's fresh and interesting take on animation, "Rick and Morty" gathered a lot of viewers that have been supporting the series from the start.
Pop David, who claims to be a part of the "Rick and Morty" Season 3 team, has previously revealed on Reddit that launching the new season last year was quite impossible. While fans are already hoping for an early debut for "Rick and Morty" Season 3, their hopes have been crashed by this Reddit post.
"They just finished writing all the scripts last week (via tweet by writer Dan Guterman) and only have full animation for one episode (via another tweet by Guterman)," the Reddit user said. "Given that information, it should be pretty clear that any air date for this year is a long shot."
Meanwhile, Den Of Geek has previously reported that the script for "Rick and Morty" season 3 was already written. This update gave fans some hope that there is a good chance that the third installment may be happening soon. While Adult Swim has not revealed the "Rick and Morty" Season 3 release date yet, many believed that the series may still premiere this year.
