After the shocking death of Harrison Ford's iconic character, Han Solo, in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," fans fear that the beloved actor's another popular character will also be killed off in "Indiana Jones 5." Although the fifth installment is already confirmed, nothing much is said about the highly-anticipated film. After all, "Indiana Jones 5" is still lacking one important thing for the development to happen.
Harrison Ford is definitely not showing any signs of slowing down even at the age of 74. The A-list actor and film producer is even set to reprise his role as the world's most popular archaeologist in "Indiana Jones 5." Legendary film producer, Frank Marshall, assured everyone that Indiana Jones will live on and not suffer the same fate as Han Solo in in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens."
There were whispers and speculations that Harrison Ford's character will be killed off to replace him with a younger protagonist in "Indiana Jones 5." Frank Marshall personally debunked this rumor and noted that there is no better actor to portray Indiana Jones than Harrison Ford.
"There is only one Indiana Jones, and he's it," Frank Marshall told NY Daily News at the BAFTA L.A. Awards Season Party. "I think you saw that there's only one Han Solo, and he did it, so I am very positive he'll be able to pull it off again." He then added that he had not thought about replacing Harrison Ford at all. "We are not going to do that."
Meanwhile, Movie Web has previously reported that "Indiana Jones 5" is still in need of a script. Without a script, there is no movie to develop. This update could spell trouble to the much-wanted installment. But despite this setback, "Indiana Jones 5" is already set to be released on 2019.
