Leonardo DiCaprio is not keen on having his children "in this world." He said though that he does not want to explain his views because he might end up being misunderstood or misquoted.
Even though he is a well-known Hollywood actor, DiCaprio is also very private when it comes to his personal life. He does not talk much about his off-screen affairs and does not like to explain his decisions.
Speaking with Rolling Stone, the actor shared that he may or may not want to start a family, and it has nothing to do with disliking kids or anything like that. He said that if he will become a father, then so be it. But he would rather not go into details about his views on fatherhood.
"Do you mean do I want to bring children into a world like this? If it happens, it happens," he said. "I'd prefer not to get into specifics about it, just because then it becomes something that is misquoted. But yeah. I don't know. To articulate how I feel about it is just gonna be misunderstood," he added.
The "Titanic" actor is often misunderstood, it seems. He became a trending topic during Saturday night's Golden Globes not because of his win for his movie "The Revenant" but because of the face he made when Lady Gaga walked toward the stage and brushed his back as she walked by. Was he reacting to Lady Gaga's Golden Globe win?
When Lady Gaga went to accept her Best Actress in A Limited Series or TV Movie award, she touched his back and the actor noticeably jumped in his seat and actually winced. Viewers who saw this made it larger than for what it was, and the social media exploded with various funny GIFs, Vines and screenshots. Many said DiCaprio was reacting to Lady Gaga's win, but he now clarified with ET Online that he simply was not. "The Revenant" star admitted that he was just not aware that someone was passing him, that's all. He laughed that his innocent reaction became trending.
