Harry Potter fans out there are thrilled as the first teaser to J.K. Rowling's newest fantasy films, "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" is officially out. The trailer is a minute and a half short, featuring the lead star, Eddie Redmayne, to play as Newt Scamander.

On Dec. 15, Tuesday, Warner Bros. Pictures finally released the first trailer of the film. Along with the teaser release is an invitation poster for all the 'Potterheads' all over the world.

In a statement made by Warner Bros. in 2013, Rowling will have her screenwriting debut through this film. David Yates (director of most of the Harry Potter films) will take on with his magical directing craft, at least for the first part of a confirmed trilogy and David Heyman, the man who produced the 8 Potter films, is set to produce the 9th.

"Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them", based on a book of the same name, is a spin-off to the world renowned Rowling series, Harry Potter. The storyline is set in an American version of the UK's wizarding world shown in the Harry Potter series.

According to Rowling in her digital (magical) news portal, Pottermore, her fondness of Newt Scamander led her to create a book, which eventually turned into a film, solely dedicated to him. In addition to this, while the movie setting takes place in NYC, the filming never really left England, the production built a "New York" in England just for the film's sake.

The film follows the story of a young Newt Scamander (Redmayne), a Magizoologist (a person who studies magical creatures) and later on the author of the fictional book "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them", back in the early 1920's. With a bulky briefcase in hand, Scamander wanders off to the American territory for a meeting at the Magical Congress of the United States of America (Macusa) located in New York City.

Unbeknownst to the majority's knowledge, Scamander's case contains a variety of dangerous magical creatures. At some point in the plot, the contents of Scamander's briefcase got loose and intensified the ongoing threat and turmoil between the Wizards' and the No-Maj (non-magical) communities. Then goes the American wizarding government's pursuit of Scamander and his magical creatures.

Unlike how it did in the first 8 movies, this film aims to show the wizarding world in the USA is like from the early 20th century. The story also tackles magic and magical creatures that went loose and out of reasonable control, which resulted to chaos in both the wizards' and non-wizards' world.

After a tedious consideration on who gets to play the role of Newt Scamander in the film, the Oscar's Best Actor awardee Eddie Redmayne ("The Theory of Everything"), landed the spot against a number of potential leads. In a news by The Hollywood Reporter in June, Redmayne won the interest of Warner Bros.' Creative Development President, Greg Silverman to star in the trilogy film.

Along with Redmayne in the film's cast are Katherine Waterston (Tina Goldstein), Colin Farrell (Percival Graves), Dan Fogler (Jacob Kowalski), Alison Sudol (Queenie Goldstein), Carmen Ejogo (Seraphina), Samantha Morton (Mary Lou), Ezra Miller (Credence). Also included in the film are Faith Wood-Blagrove, Jenn Murray, Jon Voight, Ron Perlman, and Gemma Chan.

The first installment of the trilogy is set to be released in theaters on November 18, 2016. Followed sort by the next two sequels on November 2018 and November 2020, respectively.
