Down's Syndrome Didn't Stop Teen from Texas Get His First Job; Ben Sunderman is Ecstatic

As per the report of West Texas News, 19-year-old Ben Sunderman received wonderful letter of acceptance coming from the Embassy Suites informing him that he has now a job with them.

An excited Sunderman who has Down syndrome read the letter for several minutes while his parents filmed the whole thing.  After reading, he placed the paper down and shouted with fists in the air that he got a job.

After several days of watching anxiously their mailbox for any letter, he finally got the one he was waiting for.  The job he applied for was through an online program simply called Project Search which caters to students who have learning disabilities.

The program Project Search provides actual work or job experience in order to aid them transition from school life to more mature adult life.  Sunderman will be working at Embassy Suites located in Frisco, Texas.

A challenge for Ben aside from having to work in a hotel, starting August he will also be faced with traveling by himself from his home in McKinney to Frisco.

Embassy Suites is just one of the many companies which are offering job positions to 12 deserving students specifically with special needs.  This gives them the chance to gain interesting and valuable skills needed in the work place.

The video showing Ben reading his letter and shouting he got the job was posted by his father Scott last April 11th and he was surprised that the video touched the hearts of the people on the net as it has gone viral having views of more than 100,000.  One comment said that seeing Ben so happy brought smile to their lips and it is truly priceless.
