A Remote Village is Showing Signs of Contracting Unusual Bacteria after 11,000 Years of Isolation

The people who are living in deep in the depths of Amazon rainforest in the country of Venezuela have been reportedly known to come in contact with a very rare gut bacteria. This village has been in an isolated state since about 11,000 years.

A new study has found that the villagers' body has a very rare microbiomes presence and this bacterium is living in and on their bodies, states Heath Talking. This news went viral after a recent medical check up camp was organized in this village and the doctors hardly knew what was in store for them, reports Live Science.

This incident took place in the village of Yanomami Amerindian. These villagers seem to be having the highest amount of levels of bacterial diversity which has ever been reported in the history of humanity, the study revealed.

These microbiomes included bacteria which have the genes that can make them reluctant and resistant from antibiotics and treatments. It was also noted that many of these genes make these bacteria immune to even synthetic drugs, which is a one of its kind discovery and can be a potential threat for the entire human race.

But another thing which should be noted here is that none if these villagers ever had any sort of contact or communication with the outside industrialized world or any sort of antibiotics too. This implies that there might be a possibility that this rare bacteria is found in just that village and not anywhere else.

Still, the researchers are leaving no stone unturned and probing further into analyzing the possible effects and reasons of these bacteria, after this alarming discovery.
