Andy Murray married his fiancée Kim Sears in Dunblane, Scotland, on Saturday, April 11, Us Weekly confirmed.
The couple wed at Dunblane Cathedral and the reception followed at luxury hotel Cromlix House, which is owned by Murray's father Nigel. Sears was photographed being driven to the ceremony just moments before saying "I do." The artist wore a beaded Jenny Packham wedding dress and kept her tousled locks half up with a head band.
The tennis pro and Sears, both 27, got engaged in November 2014. Last month, Murray told BBC Sports that he wasn't nervous about taking the next step.
"We've been together like nine-and-a-half years and we've lived together for six or seven years as well, so I don't think a whole lot's going to change," he said at the time. "I kind of feel like we have been married already in terms of the way we spend our lives together and live together. I think I will be more nervous about starting a family because that would be more life-changing, in a good way."
The Wimbledon champ had a tough time choosing a best man -- but luckily Sears didn't decide on a maid of honor either! The newlyweds were joined by Murray's brother, tennis player Ross Hutchins, and four bridesmaids at the altar. Up next, the couple will be celebrating a honeymoon later in the year.
Sydney Morning Herald reports that Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon offered her support, saying: "Andy is a local hero there but he is also a Scottish sporting superstar, and the whole nation will be delighted for him and his new wife."
Murray and Dunblane share a painful past after the town was hit by tragedy in March 1996 when Thomas Hamilton shot 16 pupils and a teacher dead at the Scot's primary school.
The tennis player, who had to hide in the school during the massacre, broke down in tears when discussing it during a television interviews.
