During the Mobile World Congress event, only two things were talked about: Samsung and HTC which have launched their flagship new devices according to the report of Pocket Lint news.
Design on Samsung has definitely changed as it is now housed with metal and uses Gorilla Glass 4 on its panels. HTC has not made a big change since it used the looks of the One M9 although it was refined to a higher level.
Samsung weight around 138 grams while HTC is heavier at 157 grams. The former is a winner on weight and originality side but HTC got the vote for attention to each detail and its quality stands out.
While both Samsung and HTC uses octo-core 64-bit chips on their newest handsets, Samsung opted for its very own hardware, Exynos for its processor. HTC has remained on its use of the Snapdragon 810 by Qualcomm. Samsung takes the lead in being faster even on starting the phone or opening of big-sized games although HTC's interface has become slicker.
Battery life goes to HTC as it has a larger battery and higher capacity. Both phones offer faster charging with Samsung having a wireless charging capacity. This time around, HTC takes the lead with a better, even slightly, performance. Samsung loses on heavy or longer usage but when used lightly, both phones last throughout the day.
Display of Galaxy S6 is pretty sharp with 577ppi and features 5.1 inches Quad HD. HTC has a lower sharpness at 440ppi. The former wins in the vibrant colors of the display while the latter takes the on-screen easy controls.
Cameras are both perfect for photos with HTC having its rear with 20 megapixels and front at 4 megapixels. Samsung has only 16 megapixels rear camera and 5 megapixels front camera but it can deliver good and consistent quality and high-end results.
Samsung Galaxy S6 also has a fingerprint scanner that only requires a touch while HTC's scanner needs several taps before you can unlock your phone.
