Walls are crashing in the second season of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. So far it has been revealed that Adrianne Palicki's Bobbi, aka Mokingbird, and Henry Simmons' Mack isn't in S.H.I.E.L.D's side at all, rather they're working for the "real" S.H.I.E.L.D - one that is against Clark Gregg's Coulson to make things clear. The reason behind the switch was that they believe that Coulson was too secretive on his part.
To clear things out, executive producer Jeff Bell explains that Bobbi isn't evil however in terms of her loyalty and things are about to get complicated. He shares in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that Bobbi is an ideologue, someone who is more loyal to an idea. International Business Times quotes Jeff, "Sometimes, the short term of what appears to be betrayal or short term conflict is often because of what she views as the greater good." He further adds, "[Bobbi is] an interesting character to have in a world where Coulson is much more 'we need to protect or save that person'. Are you loyal to a person? Are you loyal to the guy in the bunker next to you? Or are you loyal to the larger concept of what we're fighting for?"
One can't blame her since Coulson seems to get more secretive in every episode. This is a startling contrast to what Edward James Olmos' Gonzales believes in that leadership should be transparent. Judging by that no wonder Bobbi's loyalties seem to be shifting but we will be seeing her back to Coulson's side soon.
Aside from that we will be seeing the dead come back to life - in a flashback that is. Lucy Lawless will be returning as Isabelle Hartley in a flashback on the day S.H.I.E.L.D fell and how the current one came to be.
Despite its length hiatus prior to season two, we can safely assume that this season of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D will be one heck of a ride.
