Mary Lynn Rajskub, 43, best recognized for playing Chloe O'Brian in Fox's action-thriller series 24, has signed on to join the cast of ABC's still untitled family-centered single-camera comedy series created by Judah Miller with 20th Century Fox TV.
The new Judah Miller sitcom series revolves around a family with a Tony Award-winning mother and a cerebral, risk-averse father blessed with a natural-born athlete for a son. As parents, they are forced to come to terms with the fact that raising their only child won't come as easily as they thought. Together, they are thrust into what to them is the unfamiliar world of youth sports. Miller is executive producing along with 3 Arts' Tom Lassally and Jonathan Berry.
Stage actress Megan Hilty, 33, who was also recently seen on the small-screen as Liz in the Seasn Saves the World series, is cast in the Judah Miller pilot as the mother Irene, who is described as a laud, flamboyant diva, a former Broadway star who is adjusting to her latest "role" as a suburban mom and who can come off a little self-involved but has a big heart of gold. Greg Grunberg, 48, best remembered for his role in Heroes, is set as the male lead, the father Gary who is described as a geriatric doctor and a cautious and practical father and husband.
Rajskub will be playing Gary's twin sister Susie, described in the pilot's outline as "opportunistic and always starting a new business and asking her brother for support." Others already announced in the cast for still undisclosed roles are Tony Rock, Efren Ramirez and Judah Miller's wife Marissa Jaret Winokur.
Rajskub, aside from reprising her Chloe O"Brian character in the limited event series of 24: Live Another Day, have been guest starring in comedy roles in such TV shows as Californication, 2 Broke Girls, Arrested Development and New Girl.
