Samsung's New Smartphone for the Rugged: B550 Xcover 3

Samsung seems to have a new smart phone ready to launch in the durables. That would be your Samsung B550 Xcover 3. Gsmarena website reported a leak in the line of Xcover smart phones with better specs than the first one.

The latest rumor has completed the specs with the phone expected to be equipped with a 2.4 inch QVGA display. It would have a 128 MB RAM and an external storage of 128MB. The processor used in the device is SC7703A.

This is a huge upgrade from the previous version. The phone will have IP67 certification and will feature a bold strong look like the previous ones. It would also enjoy a 1,300 mAh battery. This hefty figure will definitely keep the device going for a long time without needing a recharge.

More features of the device were also demonstrated. Xcover 3 will feature 3MP camera. It would have microSDslot and your regular Bluetooth. The Xcover 3 also has FM Radio, along with dual band (900/2100)

In addition the cost is just about what you would expect around 99 Euro. Some rumors are also going about the release of Galaxy S6 active model. It seems we will get to see a lot of new releases from Samsung in the rugged market.

These leaks come in the market at a time when Samsung is being rumored to be the creator of Blackberry's new tablet along with their plans for the release of Samsung Galaxy S6. Samsung doesn't seem to be sparing any effort in making its presence in the mobile industry especially since the decline in its sales last year.
