Professional surfer Bethany Hamilton, even though already in her sixth month of pregnancy, was seen surfing on Friday, March 13. She looked georgeous in her black top and colorful bottom while flaunting her baby bump, hitting the big waves off a beach in Kauai, Hawaii.
Bethany Hamilton is an American professional surfer who survived a 2003 shark attack, ultimately returned and was victorious in professional surfing. She and her husband Adam Dirks announced that they are expecting their first child in February together. Always health conscious, the mom-to-be recently shared how she's been keeping in shape during her pregnancy.
According to US Weekly, the surfer explained to the site FitBump, "I usually surf one to five hours a day in two sessions. Surfing is my go-to as far as exercise, but I love working out and getting a sweat on. I often get distracted outdoors, but in a gym I can focus. I like high-intensity with various lunges and squats and some explosive versions."
Hamilton admitted she's taking it a bit easy now that she's pregnant, but still loves going on slowed down beach jogs.
"My pregnancy has been pretty smooth overall. I've just been tired, had a few headaches, and am easily emotional. I've kept very active, but have also taken more time to rest. It's crazy, but I feel like I've done some of my best surfing preggo!" she added. "I'm fully enjoying the ocean."
