It seems that the eight year old shopping search website TheFind has been reported as closing shop in the next few weeks. It has also remarked that it would be combing forces with the world's biggest social network, Facebook. TheFind rounds up results from various eCommerce websites regarding the search item and provides results from websites like Amazon, Ebay, Etsy, Nordstrom, Target and many more.

Furthermore, it has also been reported that though the terms of the merger are still unclear, the news has been confirmed by the Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg. It has also been remarked that Fb won't be using TheFind's existing service rather would utilize the service that power this search engine to create better advertisements and more suited as per the consumer requirement.

TheFind has been remarked as saying that some of the key players in the company such as the CEO Shiva Kumar would be absorbed in the Menlo Park and would endeavor to create Facebook ads more consumers specific and make the experience more relevant to the consumers in their everyday life.

The Facebook CEO has also been reported as admitting the inability of the previous search endeavors of the social conglomerate to gather much attention for this tool. The example of Facebook Graph search was quoted by him in this regard. Furthermore, the social giant has been providing the option of "Buy Now" feature which redirects the page to the original merchant's website. However, this merger is yet to reflect on the stock arena as the FB stock closed at a loss of about 1.1% on Friday and didn't really witness any significant change during afterhours trading.

It is hoped that this change in pace would increase the social giant's "searching" capabilities.
