"Homeland" fans will be thrilled to learn that season 5 offers interesting plots on its star Carrie Mathison played by Claire Danes.  Spoilers suggest that Carrie will be jumping into the future and there might be romantic scenes with Peter Quinn.

Alex Gansa, executive producer of "Homeland" said in the recent PaleyFest at Hollywood's Dolby Theater that season 5 will be taking the stars in Europe.  Not only that, scenes will be jumping to two and a half years ahead.

Romance could very much be between the lead stars as Meredith Stiehm, the creator of the political drama series revealed.  She is excited to see Carrie and Peter being romantically involved since there is this spark between the two since the first episode.

The story always dwells on the sequences involving the two lead stars after Nicholas Brody's demise.  Season 4 might already have started to bring in the romance idea but the current male writers were not that keen on bringing it to the small screen yet.

With season 5's spoilers coming out, many believe that Peter is all set to go to Europe before ending the fourth season.  "Homeland" fans should expect a more powerful and more action when the power couple goes to Europe.

With season 5's anticipated showing, executive producer Gansa has said that Carrie will appear in the new season not as a CIA intelligence officer and that made a lot of questions.  Claire Danes was asked at the PaleyFest and she just shrugged off by saying that Carrie is now in the beer business.

So expect the unexpected in the upcoming episodes of season 5 of "Homeland".
