The rumors about the release of iPod Touch 6 Generation has been confusing the spectators since 2014. The speculations were that the much hyped no-phone-iPhone will be relased when the latest iPod touch will be released in September last year, but the rumors only disappointed the fans. While some believe that the plan for release of the sixth generation iPod by the Cupertino based firm has completely dropped, a recent rumor says that the new addition to the series will hit the stores later this year.
According to the sources, the sixth iPod will be released sometime soon with improved specs as compared to its previous version, iPod touch 5G. The new installment of Apple's multimedia player has been long awaited since the last generation, 5G, was released long back in September 2012 followed up by the release of 16GB upgrade option on July 2014. However, no news of the iPod Touch hitting the markets this year has been confirmed by Apple officially.
Reportedly, the new generation portable music player will come in several color variants and in two different sizes, just like iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. If the sources are to be believed, then iPod touch 6G will be made available in 4.7 and 5.5 inch variants, in the basix six colors along with two special limited edition, white and gold.
The upcoming player will reportedly have the latest version of Apple A8 processor along with 1 GB RAM, which makes it similar with respect to the features to its counterparts from the iPhone 6 series. According to the sources, the 16GB version of the device will be available at a cost of $250 while 64GC will cost around $300. Reportedly, a 128GB variant is also planned by Apple in the future. However, none of the speculations have been confirmed by the company.
