Arrow season 3 episode 15 titled "Nanda Parbat" airing tonight teases executive producer Andrew Kreisberg via TV Line is "designed to be this crazy cliffhanger." Like the mid-season finale "The Climb" when fans saw Oliver apparently dead at the bottom of a ravine, this episode will also end leaving the audience hanging in suspense. The series will be taking another three-week break, but before it does, it wants to make sure that its return will be highly anticipated.
Directed by Gregory Smith from a script written by Erik Oleson and Ben Sokolowski, "Nanda Parbat" will have Ra's Al Ghul (guest star Matt Nable) back in the show. Somehow, he and his League of Assassins will be able to capture Malcom Merlyn (John Barrowman), and they will make him suffer. But for the sake of Thea (Willa Holland), Stephen Amell's Oliver Queen/Arrow will try to rescue him. As Kreisberg told Access Hollywood, "Willa has just like risen to such amazing heights these last few episodes and continues in this one, and seeing what she's willing to do and then, what Oliver's willing to do for her soul. I mean, one of the things we talked about very early on was that this season is really the fight for Thea's soul. And more than anything, victory this season for Oliver is saving Thea and she's caught between these disparate forces!"
Meanwhile, back in Starling City, Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh) is obsessed with finishing his Atom suit so he can save the city but Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) fears he is heading down the same path as Oliver and tries to pull him out of the lab. Executive producer Marc Guggenheim via Access Hollywood said: "I'm really excited for people to see The Atom suit in its full glory and the first time Ray flies. It's a big moment for us in so far as the show -- it's not Flash, we don't traffic in these sort of visuals, so it was a big for deal for us to get this kind of character on the show looking the way he does and everything."
Arrow will return on March 18.
