Back in May 2013, according to Perez Hilton, Rihanna (Robin Rihanna Fenty), 27, and Chris Brown (Christopher Maurice Brown), 25, are officially on an "off-again" phase in their ever continuing "on-again/off-again" relationship. Reportedly quoting Brown himself, who was then celebrating his birthday, the gossip news site wrote: ""Imma [celebrate my bday] solo. I mean, at the end of the day, [Rihanna] doing her own thang, she on the road. It's always gonna be love. I'm a grown man, just gotta fast forward. I'm always gonna love that person. I cant be focused on wife-ing someone that young. I need to be the best Chris Brown I can be."
In January of that year, Rihanna confirmed to Rolling Stone that she had rekindled her relationship with Chris, who was then still on probation for having famously assaulted her in 2009 on the eve of the Grammy Awards night wherein she was slated to perform. She told the magazine that dating Brown makes her happy, adding: "if it's a mistake, it's my mistake. After being tormented for so many years, being angry and dark, I'd rather just live my truth and take the backlash. I can handle it."
But flash forward to the eve of the 2015 Grammy Awards night and Hollywood Life said that Rihanna reportedly did not want Chris to be there. Quoting an unnamed source, the celebrity gossip news site wrote: "She has a big performance and she wants it to be her night. She doesn't want it to be dominated by everyone leaving the show talking about Chris and Rihanna in the same building. The Grammys are about the celebration of music and Rihanna has a job to do, she wants it to be drama free so she wants Chris not to be there."
Though neither of the two have talked to the press about the state of their relationship with each other, it seems that both are currently just focused on advancing their respective careers. Both have been seen indulging in the occasional flings with other parties, but nothing really serious yet.
