On Saturday, February 21, Nick Gordon posted on his Twitter page: "Let me in the hospital to see my girl and let her hear my voice SHE WILL WAKE UP!!!" and "If she hears MY voice let me massage her, play her favorite music I believe it will help." Based on the tweets, Gordon has given the public the impression that he had been denied access to visit his 21-year-old girlfriend in the hospital where she is in a medically-induced coma three weeks after being found unconscious facedown at her bathtub.
But R & B singer Bobby Brown, Bobbi Kristina's father, is refuting Gordon's claim that he desperately wants to visit his daughter. Through his lawyers, Brown issued a statement saying: "To address the continued and never ending media requests for comment about Mr. Gordon's requests to visit Bobbi Kristina, let me be very clear, Mr. Gordon was offered an opportunity to potentially visit Bobbi Kristina and he declined to meet the terms of any possible visit. We are only concerned with individuals that can help Bobbi Kristina and bring resolution to this investigation. Obviously Mr. Gordon is not as desperate to visit Bobbi Kristina as he wants the world to believe."
Gordon's lawyers responded to Brown's statement by admitting that it was they who advised their client against agreeing to Brown's unspecified terms. Previous reports suggest that Gordon may be the subject of a police investigation after police found suspicious injuries on Bobbi Kristina in hospital. Reports also indicate that Whitney Houston's daughter was under the influence of drugs and alcohol moments before the January 31 incident.
Gordon and Bobbi Kristina Brown have been publicly referring to each other as husband and wife, although they were never legally married. Gordon reportedly tried to visit his girlfriend earlier this month, but he got into a physical altercation with her relatives.
