ABC's Pretty Little Liars Season 5 episode 21 which airs Tuesday, February 24, is entitled "Bloody Hell." Directed by Arlene Sanford from a script written by Maya Goldsmith, the next chapter in the teen drama mystery-thriller serial TV show will have the little liars finally coming face-to-face with Alison DiLaurentiss (Sash Pieterse), the biggest little liar.
According to the studio's synopsis, the 'Liars,' now equipped with new information, decide they need to speak to Alison. But once the truth is out there, Aria quickly learns that Mike's (Cody Allen Christian) involvement with Mona (Janel Parrish) and this new revelation could have serious repercussions for her family. Determined to keep Mike safe and get Ali out of jail, the 'Liars' intensify their search for information on "A." Meanwhile, Spencer (Troian Bellisario) heads to London for an important college interview, and Alison looks to someone surprising for help with her murder trial. Pretty Little Liars also stars Ashley Benson as Hanna, Chad Lowe as Byron, Holly Marie Combs as Ella, Ian Harding as Ezra, Laura Leighton as Ashley, Lucy Hale as Aria, Shay Mitchell as Emily, and Tyler Blackburn as Caleb.
Although Alison is suspected to be the mysterious "A" but fans will never know for sure until season 6. The show's executive producer Marlene King told E!Online: "I know a lot of people were afraid that they would have to wait until the end of season seven to find out who Big A is, and we made it clear that they don't. You will find out before season seven and the story of Big A. I can't wait to share the story. The identity of Big A is really cool, but to me, what I always loved most about Big A is the story of Big A, the motivation, what's behind it all. I haven't been that excited to share something with the fans since Mona's reveal."
Pretty Little Liars has been renewed for an additional two more seasons. Season 6 will air in mid-2015, and season 7 will air in mid-2016. According to a report by Variety, "the teen drama, which originally focused on four high schoolers trying to solve their friend's murder while also being the victims of a mysterious bully, is the top series in the network's history in both total viewers (3.8 million) and across all target demos. It has also been TV's top cable telecast in the hour for 95 consecutive original telecasts in females 12-34."
