'Teen Mom 2' Jenelle Evans Fighting Her Mother Barbara In Court To Win Full Custody Of Son Jace

Recently engaged Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans is going back to court next month to continue the custody battle over her son Jace against her mother, Barbara Evans. Barbara, who has raised Jace since he was born, has been clearly emotional in previously aired episodes about giving him up and didn't want him to feel 'abandoned'. 

Reportedly, Jenelle got into a argument with Barbara after returning from their engagement trip with new fiancé Nathan Griffith in January.

"Barbara told Jace that he can call her 'Mom,'" a friend exclusively tells RadarOnline of Jenelle's 5-year-old son. "And then Jenelle asked Jace if [it was true] and he said, 'Yes.' That made Jenelle furious."

The situation esculated when Jenelle confronted Barbara over her allowing Jace to call him 'mom. Barbara said the boy "can call me whatever he wants," and warned Jenelle against "brainwashing him." 

Barbara also said that said didn't want her grandson around Nathan because of his drinking promblems. Jenelle or Nathan claim haven't been partying since their engagement last month. They "only drank one time since they've been back," the source said, adding, "They're trying not to have any of those problems."

The 23-year-old reality star filed paperwork with the court to regain full custody. "Barbara didn't take her seriously" at first, the friend told Radar, "but then when Barbara finally got served last week, she got mad."

Since the filing, Barbara has angrily been restricting Jenelle's access to Jace more.

"Barbara's excuses keep changing," the source said. "When Jenelle asked last week why she couldn't see Jace, Barbara said, 'Well, you're taking me to court, aren't you? Alright then, you aren't seeing Jace' - then she hung up on Jenelle."

"She used to pick him up from school and he would sleep over, but that hasn't happened in a over a month."
