Matthew Vaughn's Kingsman: The Secret Service is hitting the theatres next week on February 13. The British action comedy spy film is based on a comic book titled The Secret Service by Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons. The movie is hitting the cinemas along with its other R-rated counterpart, 50 Shades of Grey, which is based on E.L. James's best-selling erotic novel.
Kingsman: The Secret Service is a story of a spy organization. One of the veteran spies from the organization, Harry Hart, enrolls an untrained yet a confident kid, Garry Unwin, in its training program fearing a global threat from a technical pro. The making of the movie was declared in October 2012 after the director decided not to direct X-Men: Days of Future Past. The original release date for the Fox's production was set for 14 November, 2014, however, the release date was later shifted to February 2015.
The film casts Colin Firth as Harry Hart and Taron Egerton as Garry Unwin. Other stars include Michael Caine, Mark Strong, Mark Hamill, Samantha Womack, Sofia Boutella, Jack Davenport, and Sophie Cookson. The film was released first in the UK on 29 January, 2015. Earlier it was reported that Lady Gaga, Adele, David Bekham, and Elton John will be doing a cameo role in the movie, however, the rumors were discarded by Fox Productions.
The movie has been given an average rating of 6.9 out of 10 by the critics with 81% positive review comments. With two movies releasing on the Valentine's Day weekend, it will surely be hard for the movie buffs to decide which one to go for.
