The rappers Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill have gone public with their relationship. They are now officially a couple, say the gossip sites. Rumors of their real-life dating went viral after the 32-year-old 'Anaconda' rapper posted a picture of herself getting kissed on the cheek by her on again, off again rumored boyfriend on her Instagram page on February 2. The two looks in love as the 27-year-old Meek is shown with his arms wrapped around Nicki, seen in the pic wearing a blue fur jacket over a black top and ripped jeans while totting a big black bag. She re-posted the photo on her Twitter account, simply captioned, "Just posted a photo." Heck, it was just a buzz on the cheek.
Nicki and Meek were first rumored to be a couple last fall, but they both flatly denied there was any romance between them. Both claimed then that their relationship was just platonic. The two rappers have collaborated on songs appearing in Minaj's latest album, The Pinkprint. They worked in the making of Big Daddy and Buy a Heart.
In an interview she did with Angie Martinez of Power 105 [via Rap-Up], Nicki said of Meek: "I think he's amazing. I love what he represents for dudes that think like him and act like him and live like him. I told him before, like, 'You're so important to our culture.' We always need that type of guy, like that DMX. When I was growing up, I needed to see a dude act like that and talk like that."
During an appearance on a December episode of Power 106's Big Boy's Neighborhood, Nicki [via Rap-Up] categorically denied there was anything serious between Meek and herself. She said: "We're friends. He's dope. Shout out to him." She did not even visited him nor wrote him a letter when he was sent to jail. She told the radio station: "The kid is very busy. I wished him well. I hated that he was in jail because I thought he was in jail for something ridiculous, but no, I didn't write him."
Nicki and Meek were first linked immediately following her break-up with her long-time boyfriend Safaree Samuels in late 2014. Regarding the rumored romance between the two, Safaree in an interview last month with Power 105.1's The Breakfast Club radio program [via Ace Showbiz] said: "I'm not mad, I'm not bitter because if I wanted to make it work, I could've made it work... He don't owe me nothing. He's not the childhood friend I grew up with."
