Game of Thrones Season 5 premieres this Spring and HBO has released a mesmerizing 30-minute behind the scenes documentary titled Game of Thrones: A Day in the Life. The special documents epic planning that one day of production is and the hundreds of crew members across three countries working. In addition to a behind-the-scenes look at the action in Dubrovnik, Croatia; Belfast, Northern Ireland and Seville, Spain, the preview includes several never-before-seen features.
Fans get to experience the Water Gardens of Dorne, new character Jonathan Pryce (the High Sparrow) play against Lena Headey's Cersei Lannister and you get to go inside the creation of the fishing village north of the wall. You can watch the full special above.
Game of Thrones Season 5 new episodes will premiere on Sunday night, April 12th on HBO.
The last two episodes from Season 4 were shown in 150 theaters in IMAX format across the U.S. from January 23-29. The audience got a sneak peak trailer for the upcoming Season 5, which is what you are watching above.
The hit HBO's series also topped the list of IMDb Top 10 TV Series of 2014. The popular series just wrapped up its fourth season in June and received some of the highest ratings the network has ever seen. It was announced recently that Game of Thrones would be extended through a sixth season and now a seventh and presumably final season is going to happen. In order to retain much of the main cast for two more years, a big payday was in order according to THR. Cast involved in the deal (spoiler alert) is includes Peter Dinklage, Kit Harington, Lena Headey, Emilia Clarke, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Natalie Dormer, Sophie Turner, and Maisie Williams.
