Big Boo’s Lea Delaria is Engaged to Fashion Editor Girlfriend!

Lea Delaria, star of the critically and commercially hit Netflix's series Orange is the new Black, recently got engaged!

The Jazz musician and comedian got engaged to her fashion editor girlfriend Chelsea Fairless and announced it on Feb 5 via Facebook.

"Yes bitches I am engaged," the 56-year-old wrote. "Despite their concerns about the patriarchal confines of marriage, actor / singer Lea DeLaria & editrix Chelsea Fairless of Brooklyn, New York are pleased to announce their engagement," she continued. "No date has been set for the impending nuptials but it's safe to say that it will be the event of the season, or a total s--t show," according to a report by US weekly.

Along with the funny post, the Illinois native also shared a photoshopped photo from Liza Minnelli's March 2002 nuptials to producer David Gest. DeLaria and Fairless took the place of the now-exes as they posed with their wedding guests, the late Michael Jackson and late Elizabeth Taylor.

DeLaria was first introduced to Fairless through her costar Emma Myles.

"Everyone saw how emotional I was at the SAG awards. I was so filled with love," Delaria explained. "I turned to her at the Netflix party that night and asked her to marry me. We announced it to all of our friends there."

DeLaria is best known for playing Big Boo on Orange Is the New Black since 2013. The comedian has also appeared on TV soap One Life to Live, Awkward, and Will & Grace.
