Better Call Saul is a Breaking Bad spin off, aside from the fact that it is set well before Walter White wandered into the industry which makes and produces meth, with Jesse Pinkman. With the show runner for Breaking Bad Vince Gilligan in charge of this show as well, the stakes are pretty darn high.
To put it in simple terms, Better Call Saul recounts the back story of Walter White's alluring and degenerate legal advisor Saul Goodman which is played by Bob Okendirk; but he is not called Saul Goodman this time, he's called Jimmy Mcgill, the man before he got to be Saul Goodman. The pilot episode sees Saul instantly after the Breaking Bad epilogue and he is working at a Cinnabon in a shopping center, completely frightened of everyone around. Fans wonder what happened to him and what went so wrong that Saul is in such a state.
The leads of the show Breaking Bad, Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul have both said they'd like to be included in some way or another in this spin off show, however they're not in the casting list one cast, as shown by IMDB.
Till now, 2 seasons have been singed off for this show, so let us hope that the original cast will make its way in at some point or the other.
For now, book Feb 9 as a busy date in your calendar, as Better Call Saul will be released on Netflix in the U.K. that day.
We will have to wait and watch how this show is conceived in the audience and if it is as good as Breaking Bad or not. Fingers crossed, it might be even better!
