Lords of the Fallen's announced next planned downloadable content (DLC), titled "Ancient Labyrinth," has been delayed until developer Deck 13 Interactive finishes work on the next patch for the base game, reports Softpedia.

Released October 28 in North America and October 30 in Europe, the Lords of the Fallen has been developed by Deck 13 Interactive jointly with CI Games and published by Bandai Namco and Square Enix. A single-player role-playing hack-and-slash action video game, it is available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows PC platforms. Since its launch however, players have been known to complain about multiple issues, including a bug preventing mana from regenerating once the player reaches a certain area, said Video Gamer. The game also has performance issue as many players complain it's not well optimized for PC according to Softpedia.

As originally announced, the DLC "Ancient Labyrinth" add-on was supposedly ready by January. Though there was no mention of the price, the add-on will be the first DLC to bring new missions for Lords of the Fallen gameplay. However, many players insist that the developers should first focus on fixing the game itself before adding any further new content. Thus, CI Games and Deck 13, taking note of the feedback, the developers now said that they will deliver the new DLC, along with next patch that they are already working on. Via Twitter, they told Softpedia: "As you know, we were supposed to release Ancient Labyrinth in January along with the patch. We don't want to release the DLC without fixes."; "We informed couple of days earlier that the DLC is postponed and it will be released along with the next patch." and, "Probably, we will share new date soon. We want to release the DLC along with the next patch." Another tweet to Video Gamer reads: "We will share more information about the patch soon."

The Lords of the Fallen has been developed on the proprietary FLEDGE game engine which is capable of some specialized rendering. For this to work best on PC, the game publisher's minimum recommended system requirements include a Windows Vista (SP 2), 7 or 8 OS; Intel Core i7-3770 @3.5 GHz or AMD FX-8350 X8 @ 4 GHz; at least 8 GB RAM; NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560Ti graphics processing unit; 25 GB of hard drive space; and DirectX 11. Lords of the Fallen on PS4 will run in 1080p while Lords of the Fallen on Xbox One will display in the slightly lower 900p resolution.
