‘Alice in Wonderland: Through the Looking Glass’ News: Author Lewis Carroll Accused of Being a Pedophile?

Alice in Wonderland 2 is now on its post-production.

The sequel to the blockbuster film, Alice in Wonderland is directed by James Bobin and produced by Tim Burton, Joe Roth, Jennifer Todd and Suzanne Todd. The script was written by Linda Woolverton and is based on Lewis Carroll's book "Through The Looking Glass."

The movie has been titled Alice in Wonderland: Through the Looking Glass.

Alice in Wonderland 2 cast will include previous characters from the first movie such as Mia Wasikowska as Alice, Johnny Depp as Mad Hatter, Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen, Anna Hathaway as the White Queen, Matt Lucas as  Tweedledee and Tweedledum and Sacha Baron Cohen as Time. Rhys Ifans is an addition to the cast and will play Zanik Hightopp, the Mad Hatter's father.

For the voice characters, English actors are taking centerstage such as Stephen Fry as the Cheshire Cat, Toby Jones as Wilkins, Alan Rickman as Absolem the Caterpillar, Michael Sheen as the White Rabbit, Timothy Spall as Bayard the Bloodhound and Paul Whitehouse as Thackery Earwicket, the March Hare.

Shooting began on August of 2014 in Shepperton Studios and in the Gloucester Docks which included the use of at least four historic ships: Kathleen and May, Irene, Excelsior and the Earl of Pembroke, the last of which was renamed "The Wonder" for the filming. Principal photography ended on October 2014.

In other news, author Lewis Carroll is the focus of a BBC documentary and questions the author's friendships with children. The Secret World of Lewis Carroll, on BBC2 at 9pm on Saturday, January 31, claims the Alice In Wonderland author took disturbing naked photographs of young girls which 'no parent would ever have consented to'.

Among them are pictures of the sister of Alice Liddell, who inspired the Alice books.
