Fans of the movie "Friday the 13th" will need to hold up a little more to watch the movie, yet the uplifting news is, Jason will return early next year!
Set for a November 2015 release date at first, "Friday the 13th" has been moved to a much later thirteenth date, particularly on May 13, 2016. This move is apparently an after effect of Paramount's reshuffling of its horror genre lineup dates, that includes "Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension" and "The Ring" which will be release later in 2015. The reason behind the stall is that there hasn't been any statement on the completion on the last script for the film.
This will be the thirteenth part to the "Friday the thirteenth" franchise, making it one of the longest running movie series in the history of Hollywood. Earlier there were many rumors regarding Jason Voorhees possibility to return in this installment of the movie. Not long after that the producers have confirmed that he will be seen in this movie as well, making the fans take a sigh of relief. Pamela Sue Voorhees, also known as Mrs. Voorhees, mother to Jason, will also be seen in this movie, although her character has not yet been confirmed by the producers.
"Friday the 13th" plot will most likely not be associated with the most recent "Friday the 13th" movie which was released in 2009, as said by Marcus Nispel. However, it might or might not be related to the coming "Friday the 13th" TV show.
Let us hope that the movie will make a reboot in May 2016 and will not disappoint the loyal fans.
