The Xperia phone has a 4.5 inch display with a resolution of 480 X 854 and also 218 ppi, whereas the HTC phone has a 5 inch display with a 540 X 960 resolution and 220 ppi.

HTC Desire 516 is equipped with a Snapdragon 200 processor, which has a frequency at 1.2 GHz, whereas the Sony Xperia E3 is equipped with a MSM8926-2 Snapdragon 400 processor, which has a frequency at 1.2 GHz. Also, Sony handset has 1 GB RAM with Adreno 305 GPU and HTC handset also has 1 GB RAM with Adreno 302 GPU.

If we talk about the Android version in these handsets, the HTC Desire 516 will have an Android v 4.2.2 Jelly Bean while the Sony Xperia E3 will have an Android v 4.4.2 KitKat.

Both of these phones have a 4 GB internal memory, which can be expanded up to 32 GB.

As far as the camera is concerned, it is a well known fact that Sony always has a camera of a great quality compare to other smartphones. Sony Xperia has a 5 mega pixel camera at the back and has a VGA lens in its front camera. HTC Desire also has a 5 mega pixel camera at the back and a 2 mega pixel camera at the front, to step up the selfie game!

Both of these handsets are said to be priced at $230, so it comes down to the buyers about their choice and need.
