'Premium IP' Game is Being Built on James Cameron's Movie 'Avatar': Catch all the Details Here

Booster Pack studio, a Singapore based startup has revealed its plans to develop and release Premium IP, a game based on Avatar. Booster Pack studio was reportedly funded a whooping amount of $1.475 million US dollars by Ariel Star Group, Kathrein Ventures, and Cyberworld Studios last year.

The news became official when the CEO and co-founder of the Booster Pack studios, Kent Byers, shared a post on the Avatar's official page on Facebook. The caption to the visual depiction in the post reads 'James Cameron's Avatar, Warrior's Journey.' The description in the post reveals that the game will be made available for iOS and Android users wherein the gamers will get to ride, dodge, and run through the world developed in the game. Seems like it will be a kind of running game wherein the gamer will face challenges and in turn gain abilities to complete the different levels in the game.

Booster Pack studio was co-founded by Byers, Shane Gavin, Benjamin Chevalier, and Chris Chu in May 2013. All four were ex-Lucasarts colleagues. By December same year, the four together registered their startup as a company. As of not this startup has a strength of just seven people. However, they plan to develop into a team to ten by the end of this year. As of 2015, the company is no more in partnership with one of its primary funder, the Cyberworld Studios.

Avatar is a 2009 film, written, directed, co-edited, and co-produced by James Cameron. It is a science-fiction film starring Sam Worthington, Michelle Rodriguez, Giovanni Ribissi, Stephen Lang, Zoe Saldana, and Sigourney Weaver. The film development began in 1994 and it was first premiered on December 10, 2009 in London.
