Popular actress, Emma Watson, spoke at the UN Women Goodwill Ambassador and gave a strong speech encouraging world and corporate leaders to take action for gender equality. This also coincides with her HeForShe program launch kickoff launch at the World Economic Forum at Davos on January 23rd, 2015.
Watson's speech followed up her talk last September at the United Nations. This is some of what she had to say in her most recent speech: "I spoke about some of my story in September - what are your stories? Girls: Who have been your mentors, parents, did you make sure you treated your children equally? If so, how have you done it? Husbands: Have you been supporting your female partner privately so that she can fulfill her dreams too? Young men: Have you spoke up in a conversation when a woman was casually degraded or dismissed? ... Businessmen: Have you mentored, supported or engaged women in leadership positions? Writers: Have you challenged the language and imagery used to portray women in the media? CEOs: Have you implemented the women's empowerment principles in your own company?"

We applaud Emma Watson for devoting her time and energy, along with showing intelligence and eloquence in her words in hopes to educate and enlighten on feminist matters. She has a big voice that can make a big difference in this world.
Watson came to international fame starring in the Harry Potter film series, alongside Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint in all eight Harry Potter films beginning in 2001. Over ten years' time, the franchise earned Watson worldwide fame, critical accolades, and more than £10 million-"enough money never to have to work again".
From 2011 to 2014, she split her time between working on film projects and continuing her education, studying at Brown University and Oxford University and graduating from Brown with a degree in English literature in May 2014. She was honored by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts in 2014, winning for British Artist of the Year.
