"The Hunger Games" trilogy has been a massive success at the box office with the first movies dominating the box office in the last few years. The series is based on the bestselling book by the author Susan Collins. The latest movie that was released last month The Hunger Games - Mockingjay Part 1 has broken all records and was declared as Lionsgate's top-grossing film of all time.
So far, the movies have sincerely followed the book word by word and portrayed everything as reality permits in the movie. But rumors are rife that the new installment of the movie will not adhere to the book fully; the ending might be really different than what was shown in the book.
The lead actress of the movie, Jennifer Lawrence, who plays Katniss Everdeen, has reportedly told a magazine point blank that the last installment of the movie will see a different ending that what is supposed to happen according to the book. She has clearly stated that she will not play "old" Katniss and that is what the writers are going to change about the movie.
But amidst all these things, the director of this movie series, Francis Lawrence, says otherwise. He has said that they are trying to make the movie be as similar to the book as possible and all he wants is to be true to the book.
The audience will be able to see soon if the ending is the same or not. The Hunger Games - Mockingjay Part 2 stars Liam Hemsworth, Julianne Moore, Josh Hutcherson and Jennifer Lawrence.
The Hunger Games - Mockingjay Part 2 is scheduled to release somewhere in November 2015.
