Marvel's Agent Carter was back with the new episode titled "Time And Tide" and the tension between Peggy and the men is palpable on the screen. Now, she has to safeguard herself from two different challenges, the Leviathan, the mysterious organization and Peggy's employer on the other end. The heroine is certainly working in a very dangerous environment. The narrative in the first two acts focuses on Jarvis's past, when he is brought questioning about the license plate. Peggy is perplexed by the nature of his past and the mysterious Anna situation. The relationship between Jarvis and Anna's has more weight this time.
Perhaps the best part about Jarvis story is how it brings in the elements of World War II. Different characters of the show have repercussions of the major global conflict. For example, Peggy and Jarvis found the opportunity to love in the middle of all that tragedy. Peggy may be shown to be a smart and powerful character, but she is still not immune to pain.
As the past gets narrated by Peggy in the first person, the show begins with a scene in the Griffith Ladies' Hotel. You get to see all kinds of ladies in the seedier hotel. The storyline is based upon two kinds of plots- first is Jarvis getting arrested because of his connection with the Roxxon and his escape. The second escapade is about Leet Brannis. However, the storyline of "Time and Tide" lacks mysteriousness, and there are less interesting missions. Peggy cannot rely on anyone to save her, and she will have to depend on her own to fulfill her mission. She is forced to betray her colleagues at the S.S.R. in order to clear Howard's name and unravel the mysteries of Leviathan.
However, the high impact lighting of the show and color effects are superb.
