It is always sad to have a fine co-worker, who lived a fine and inspiring life, die and during the premiere of Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb last December, Ben Stiller, along with his cast mates, held a moment to honor their late co-star, Robin Williams.
Williams played the role of former President Teddy Roosevelt in the franchise since its first installment Night at the Museum back in 2006.
"I will never forget his generosity. I got to work with him a few times over the years, and he was the kindest person," Stiller shared with Variety. He further adds on how Williams stood as a beacon for everyone on the set. "He made everybody feel important, no matter who, and he set an amazing example that way," quotes E!.
The actor shared on how it felt to be an honor to work with the late comedian. US Weekly quoted, "I honestly felt fortunate every day that I got to work with him because I was such a fan of his as a kid. I never really got over being starstruck by him...so for me just any day I got to work with him was exciting. The thing that comes through in his work is who I felt he was as a person, the little that I knew him is this genuine warmth, this genuine sense of caring for other people that is a part of what you see anytime you see him on film."
The 20th Century Fox film serves as the third installment of the movie franchise and one of the last movies the late actor worked on. Williams died at 63 years old on August 11, 2014 in his house at Tiburon, California.
On his behalf, the late actor's widow, Susan Schneider, attended the event.
Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb premiered last December 19.
