Many see that marriage is the end of everything for a man but Scottish actor, James McAvoy admits that he has been conscious on what he does ever since he got married and had children. The 35-year-old actor is married to wife Anne-Marie Duff and the couple had a four-year-old son named Brendan.
When asked by Cosmopolitan in Germany on how his status as a celebrity had affected his home life, he replied that he is monogamous and that his heart belonged to his son and grandparents. He further adds that when it came to his friends, he is not as generous. "That's to do with age. I realised that my energy does have boundaries," quotes Belfast Telegraph.
He also admitted that his carefree attitude disappeared when his son was born and sees it as a good thing.
James McAvoy is known for his roles such as the younger telepathic headmaster of Xavier's School for the Gifted, Charles Xavier, from the X-Men series.
Aside from his family life, McAvoy doesn't seem to be slowing down when it comes to his career. In a recent appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show he shares that he will be returning to the West End stage in the play The Ruling Class at Trafalgar Studios for their Trafalgar Transformed session line-up. The play will open on January 2015.
With regards to his views on his upcoming stage role after having huge success in the silver screen, the actor shares that he is excited for the latest part. This is not a strange thing to see famous actors and actresses taking on stage roles at the height of their careers. This is a good challenge for them to get to know their capacity as performers.
