It would seem that Keira Knightley is a master of camouflage as she apologizes to Anne Hathaway for being mistaken as her. The actress was on her way to the Toronto Film Festival to promote her two films, Laggies and The Imitation Game but at the airport a fan, thinking that she was Anne Hathaway, stopped her for a photo. To make matters worse, the 29-year-old actress was accused of being rude because she refused a photo with the fan.
"Actually I think I have to apologize to Anne Hathaway because the woman thought I was being really rude as Anne Hathaway not giving her a picture but I was really only saying that I promised I wasn't Anne Hathaway - which I am not," she said as quoted at the Inquisitr.
In an interview with MSN, Knightley shares that she was also mistaken for other female celebrities but counts her first time to be mistaken as Hathaway. "Generally, I get a lot of Rachel Weisz and Natalie Portman."
The most ironic thing of the situation is that Knightley took the acting gig for Laggies after Hathaway dropped out of the production. The actress stepped out late in the movie and the producers had to look for a replacement where Knightley then stepped in to take the role as she didn't have any projects going on at that time. "Stylistically, it's completely different from what I had been doing previously so it was very much 'jump in and hope for the best'," quotes Inquisitr.
Her other film project was the historical thriller named The Imitation Game where she takes on the role of English mathematician and cryptanalyst, Joan Clarke. She co-stars with Sherlock star, Benedict Cumberbatch who plays the role of British mathematician Alan Turing.
