Elementary Sherlock fans! The famous sleuth and his doctor friend will be returning to the small screen for the fourth season of the BBC television adaptation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's beloved detective book. But with it return comes with theories on what could happen for the fourth season.
Bustle shares their own theories on what could happen for the fourth season of Sherlock especially with its writer and producer, Steven Moffat, announcing during the 2014 Emmys that the series will be having a "devastating" turn around. One of these theories involved death of focal characters such as Mrs. Hudson (England would certainly fall if that happens) or Mary Watson would die. Though Mrs. Hudson did not die in the book, any fan would know that Mary Watson did die but who knows given that the series has taken a lot of liberties in its adaptation.
However, before we could see any if those theories coming true, the series has to film first. Unfortunately, the main problem of the Sherlock television series is that its cast's schedules. In fact, aside from the recent Hobbit project done by Martin Freeman, who plays Bilbo Baggins, and Benedict Cumberbatch, who voices the ferocious dragon Smaug, the actors seemed to be booked. Cumberbatch is in the much talked about "The Imitation Game" as the mathematician Alan Turing and is also cast as Marvel's Doctor Strange.
Another Sherlock actor whose schedule is unsure is Andrew Scott who plays Jim Moriarty, Sherlock Holmes' equally brilliant arch nemesis. This is a blow for many as fans are still hanging from their seats for an explanation on how the villain escaped death having shot himself in the mouth at the end of season 2. He is set to star as Denbigh in the next James Bond film named Spectre.
