Anna Kendrick sure is in the festivity mood these days!
The 29-year-old actress donned a hunter green Dolce & Gabbana knit dress that featured a bold twin-fox embroidered design during the special screening of Into the Woods at London's Soho Hotel on Thursday, Dec. 11.
Kendrick stars as Cinderella in the live-action musical, alongside Chris Pine, as her Prince Charming. The musical also stars a heavyweight ensemble cast that includes Academy award winner Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt and Johnny Depp.
In an interview with Marie Claire for their December issue, the Pitch Perfect actress explained about her Cinderella character and her attraction to the Disney story, "The interesting thing about her is she overthinks things, she's uncertain - we don't see that in most versions. In a lot of ways, I think it's this incredibly brave story. She's neglected and abused her entire life [and] she finally gets love it's not the kind of love she was looking for, and she stands up for herself," according to US.
For the Into the Woods photocall, she traded her hunter green D&G knit dress for a luxurious berry-red wrap dress on Friday, Dec. 12. A red leather belt cinched in the waistline of the cozy-looking ensemble, and black ankle strap pumps Salvatore Ferragamo pumps amped up the luxe factor.
Apart from Into the Woods, the Maine-born actress has a lot on her plate right now. She will be seen next in yet another musical-comedy drama, The Last 5 Years with a US wide release date on February 13, 2015.
Kendrick also stars alongside Jennifer Aniston in the critically acclaimed film, Cake. And of course, the much awaited sequel to the sleeper hit, Pitch Perfect where she reprises her role as Beca Mitchell, with a May 15, 2015 release date.
Two more movies are due for 2015 for the busy actress, namely the drama film, The Hollars and the action-comedy romance film, Mr. Right.
