It's a boy! Amanda Peet recently gave birth to a bouncing baby boy on Dec. 7 in Los Angeles.
The baby boy will be Peet's third child with husband David Benioff. The couple already had two daughters, Frances, 7 and Molly, 4. For the past few months, Peet had hidden her pregnancy from fans and the media, and were surprised when she walked the red-carpet at the Emmy's in late August.
The 42-year-old actress spoke about her pregnancy at the UN Foundation and Walgreens Shot@Life campaign, saying, "It's great. I can't complain. I mean, I'm tired but otherwise, I'm doing really well," according to US weekly.
The X-Files: I Want to Believe star also spoke about choosing the name of her second child, Molly. It was her husband, Benioff, who hid two crumpled pieces of paper behind his back, where he wrote down the name. The couple couldn't leave the hospital without a name and so Benioff exposes the two crumpled papers where Molly and June were written. Thus, the name Molly June. Cute!
In 2000, Peet was voted by People Magazine as one of the 50 Most Beautiful people in the world.
The Whole Nine Yards star will soon be seen in an eight-episode comedy TV series produced by HBO, titled Togetherness. Mark Duplass and Melanie Lynskey are also attached to the project and will premiere on January 11, 2015.
Peet was last seen in the big screen with the comedy-drama ensemble The Way Way Back, along with Steve Carell and Toni Collette.
Peet will be back to work filming the romantic comedy, Sleeping with Other People, along with Jason Sudeikis and Alison Brie, by next year.
