Selena Gomez Starstruck in Meeting Jennifer Aniston

Selena Gomez mingled with her idol, Jennifer Aniston, during a party and viewing of the new Oscar worthy Aniston's film, Cake on Friday, December 6.

The "Heart Wants What it Wants" singer gushed about Aniston, saying, "I have not only been following her career as a fan since I was 8 and now get to watch her completely transform in her new movie CAKE, I have gotten to have real conversations with such a real heart, made my entire year. #cake #goseeit," according to US weekly.

On the photo taken, Aniston had her right arm wrapped around the 22-year-old former Disney star, smiling big with her eyes closed.

The last encounter with the Friends alum was terrifying, described Gomez. "I ran away from Jennifer Aniston when she said, 'Hi,' I was terrified of her," she said during an interview with Radio Disney.

Gomez explained, she was scared and ran away and was really embarrassed about the incident. She did not know what to do because she was literally star-strucked - as she is meeting Rachel Green!

At the last American Music Awards, Gomez, went emotional while singing here new single, "Heart Wants What it Wants", as it somehow pertains to on-and-off beau, Justin Bieber. The camera, at the end, caught her looking to the audience, specifically to Taylor Swift, while her eyes were brimming with tears. Swift, on the other hand, nodded and mouthed that she understands.

Gomez recently starred in the musical drama Rudderless playing as Kate Ann Lucas. The movie was directed by veteran actor, William H. Macy. The film also stars Billy Crudup, Miles Heizer, Anton Yelchin and Felicity Huffman.

The Texas-born actress will soon be reprising her voiceover role as Mavis, the vampire daughter of Adam Sandler's character Dracula for Hotel Transylvania 2. The animated film will premiere on September 25, 2015.
