The Holiday movie news, updates: In an interview with Glamour UK, actor Jude Law revealed that he would be open to reprising his role for the sequel to the romantic comedy The Holiday, which was released in 2006.
"That's a good idea. Yeah, [of] course!" said the 41-year old actor. "Absolutely."
Written, directed, and produced by Nancy Meyers, The Holiday also starred Shannyn Sossamon, Edward Burns, Rufus Sewell, A-listers Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet, and funnyman Jack Black. The Holiday is the story of two women, Amanda Woods (Diaz) and Iris Simpkins (Winslet), who find romance after temporarily switching homes in each other's countries - US and England - for the holidays.
The Holiday was among Eli Wallach's last projects; the actor passed away in June at 98 years old.
One of the most memorable lines from the film was said by his character, Arthur Abbott, a famous screen writer from the Golden Age of Hollywood: "In the movies we have leading ladies and we have the best friend. You, I can tell, are a leading lady. But for some reason you are behaving like the best friend."
Law also had unforgettable scenes with his on-screen daughters Sophie, played by Miffy Englefield; and Olivia, played by Emma Pritchard. His character Graham goes out of his way to make the girls laugh.
What would it be like to be working with them for the sequel? "Oh my goodness, they'll be like teenagers," Law said. "Miffy, she was such a sweet little girl."
