Fans won't be seeing Jamie Dornan's unmentionables during the 50 Shades Of Grey movie.
Rita Ora Will Play Christian Grey's Sister In '50 Shades Of Grey'
Although many fans were expecting the upcoming film to be just as racy as the book, they may not get their wish. In a new interview, Dornan revealed he would not be going full-frontal in film adaptation of the bestselling erotic novel.
"There were contracts in place that said viewers wouldn't be seeing my, um.... Yeah, my todger," Dornan revealed to The Guardian on Sunday, via a Nov. 4 report by the TODAY show. "You want to appeal to as wide an audience as possible without grossing them out. You don't want to make something gratuitous, and ugly, and graphic."
Will Jamie Dornan Receive An Oscar Nomination For His Role In '50 Shades Of Grey?'
In the upcoming film, Dornan plays billionaire BDSM-enthusiast, Christian Grey. Dakota Johnson, the 25-year-old daughter of Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith, also stars in the film, playing the female lead, Anastasia "Ana" Steele.
Taking on a role in such a talked about film can be intimidating to some, but when it comes to Dornan, he's not putting too much pressure on his performance.
“I am never going to please all 100 million people who read the book,” he said. “I’ll be lucky if half that number are happy with me playing Christian Grey. I know there are campaigns of hate against me already.”
When the highly anticipated trailer for 50 Shades Of Grey was released, it broke the record for most hits, receiving over 100 million views in one week.
Fifty Shades Of Grey opens in theaters on Feb. 15, 2015.
