Bethenny Frankel was reportedly offered more than $1 million to return to Bravo's The Real Housewives of New York City.
Bethenny Frankel Confirms TV Project With Andy Cohen
Weeks after the finale of the show's sixth season, reports surfaced, claiming the former talk show host was in talks for a Bravo return. Now, news of the network's rumored offer to Frankel has hit the web.
"Sources say Bravo has offered Bethenny Frankel 'well over $1 million' to join the cast of 'The Real Housewives of New York City,' but the former cast member hasn’t agreed to re-up just yet," Page Six reported on Oct. 6. "We’re told Bravo has been desperate to get her to rejoin amid waning ratings."
Is Bethenny Frankel Returning To 'The Real Housewives Of New York City?'
For the last couple of seasons, since Frankel moved on to star in her own series, Bethenny Ever After, ratings on the show have been on a steady decline. Following season four of The Real Housewives of New York City, producers attempted to reboot the series by recasting a portion of the show. Unfortunately, after firing Jill Zarin, Kelly Bensimon, Alex McCord and Cindy Barshop, ratings continued to drop.
Now, after firing Aviva Drescher and upgrading LuAnn de Lesseps to an "official Housewfe," Bravo appears to be attempting, yet again, to get their show back on track.
Still, a return by Frankel remains unconfirmed. According to Frankel, she and Andy Cohen are working on several projects, but when it comes to making things official, she hasn't “signed or decided to do anything.”
