Avril Lavigne Says Her Music Is Her Baby

Days after celebrating her birthday without her husband, Lavigne stepped out in Hollywood with friends. Noticeably missing from Lavigne's fingers were both her wedding ring and the anniversary ring her husband gifted her in July.

"The singer was spotted leaving L.A. hotspot Chateau Marmont with several of her girlfriends late Thursday night, and seemed to be missing one major accessory: her gigantic new anniversary present from hubby Chad Kroeger," E! News reported on Sept. 30.

Chad Kroeger Disses Avril Lavigne's Ex-Husband

Lavigne and Kroeger have been married since July 1, 2013. The pair wed at the Château de La Napoule in the South of France. They had been together for just over a year.

Earlier this month, rumors hit the web, claiming Lavigne and Kroeger were on the verge of a split.

"It's over," a source told Us Weekly. "He has been going around L.A. telling people that they are divorcing."

Two weeks later, Lavigne celebrated her 30th birthday at The Bank Nightclub in the Bellagio Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. But while Lavigne was joined by several of her girlfriends, Kroeger was no where in sight.

In fact, according to PEOPLE Magazine, the pair haven't been spotted together publicly since April.

The magazine also pointed out that Lavigne recently broke her marriage rules during an outing to Los Angeles' Dan Tana's. At dinner, Lavigne was spotted drinking with friends, which her husband previously claimed they didn't do without the other present.
