Following a rocky start to their relationship, which began in 2012 when Aldean was married to Jessica Ussery, Aldean and his former mistress are ready to walk down the aisle.

"We've been on cloud nine the past few days," Kerr captioned an Instagram post of the two on Sept. 25. "My heart has never been more full of happiness and love... Can't wait to spend the rest of my life with this man. So many blessings and memories are in our future and SO thankful I get to share them with him."

According to reports, Aldean popped the question during a private tour of the San Diego Zoo on Sept. 24, a quick pit stop on the West Coast leg of his tour.

The country star called it quits with Ussery, his high school sweetheart, in 2012, months after photos of himself and Kerr kissing at a Los Angeles bar were published online. The former couple tied the knot in 2001, and have two children together, daughters Kendyl and Keely.

At the time their bar photos hit the web, Kerr released a statement, apologizing to those affected by her and Aldean's affair.

"The actions I portrayed recently were not a representation of my true character, but a lapse in judgment on my part. I would like to sincerely apologize to everyone that has been affected by this, including my friends and family," Kerr said, via a Hollywood Life report.

Earlier this month, in an interview with Billboard, Aldean opened up about the struggles of having a relationship with someone who was formerly his mistress.

"It's been two years of this sh*t - get over it already!" he said. "And then when I finally do get enough of it and say something, every newspaper grabs it. And I'm not trying to get in the headlines, I'm just trying to get people to stop running their mouths."

A rep for Aldean and Kerr confirmed their relationship on March 17, revealing the two had been together since he filed for divorce.
