Kris And Bruce Jenner Celebrate Their Anniversary Amid Separation
Just under one year after announcing her separation from husband Bruce, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star filed documents, citing irreconcilable differences and requesting joint primary and legal custody of their 17-year-old daughter, Kylie.
Kris "requested to keep her own jewelry, and wants to keep all assets from the date of separation," Radar Online reported on Sept. 22. "As for the couple’s other property, the documents state that they will divide everything later."
Kris Jenner Receives Death Threats
Kris and Bruce announced their separation in Oct. 2013, although Kris' recent court documents cited June 1, 2013 as their date of separation.
At the time of the separation, Kris and Bruce released a joint statement to press.
“We are living separately and we are much happier this way,” the statement read. “But we will always have much love and respect for each other. Even though we are separated, we will always remain best friends, and, as always, our family will remain our number one priority.”
Following their separation, Bruce moved out of their home in Calabasas, Calif., and into a home in Malibu. From there, Bruce embarked on quite the image reinvention. In addition to growing out his hair, Bruce reportedly underwent a procedure to shrink the size of his Adam's apple.
Despite their marriage having come to an end, Kris has insisted she and Bruce will remain close.
“We ended a marriage, but that’s not the end of our friendship," she said. "I will always love him, but we are no longer a couple in that way.”
