The rapper, whose real name is Shad Moss, is engaged to his girlfriend, Erica Mena, star of VH1's Love And Hip Hop: New York.

Bow Wow confirmed the news to fans via Instagram with a post that showed off Mena's ring and his matching diamond-encrusted Rolex watch, according to a Sept. 22 report by Us Weekly.

Mena also solidified the engagement a few days earlier while appearing at the BET Awards in Atlanta on Saturday, Sept. 20. When an E! correspondent asked about her boyfriend, she responded, "Uh... Actually, he's my fiancé."

After word spread, Bow Wow sent Twitter love to all his fans, thanking them for their well wishes while showing off more pics of his fiance's diamond engagement ring.

Us Weekly reported the pair met on Bow Wow's BET reality show 106 & Park, when Mena appeared in an episode. The two apparently got up close and personal on the show's "famous couch," before becoming an official couple.

However, just a few days before the news of the engagement, Mena spoke with No Judgment Zone w BlogXilla, and said they were "just friends."

"I love working with him. I've known him for so long, we always come together and work. And it's now that we're finally at this mature stage more than anything, the great thing about me being around him is I learn so much from him. He's such a good, regular, down, guy. He's all about his family. That's rare to find. he's never once judged me, either. His friendship definitely means a lot to me. It's a big deal," she said, according to a Sept. 22 report by Hollywood Life. 

Bow Wow and Mena have been dating for six months.
