Julie Chrisley has opened up about her experience with breast cancer.

The Chrisley Knows Best mom was diagnosed in March 2012. Now two years cancer free, she is still involved in finding a cure, starting with the Susan G. Komen "Race For The Cure" Walk in Central Park, which she attended in early September.

"Truly, these are my heroes," she told Life and Style on Sept. 12, referring to the survivors and supporters she encountered during the walk.

'Chrisley Knows Best' Season Two Takes Family Outside Atlanta Home

Julie admitted to feeling she didn't need a routine mammogram until she was 40-years-old. However, her husband, Todd, urged her to go despite her complaints.

"I had a lump. I had a double mastectomy that same March, and I am two years cancer free now," she said. "So I guess Chrisley really does know best."

Now 41-years-old, Julie is helping to fight the disease in any way she can, and preparing for the upcoming season of her family's reality show, Chrisley Knows Best, which, according to the couple's 17-year-old daughter, Savannah, will be quite eventful.

"I feel like the first season we tried to filter ourselves at the beginning, but this time we're used to [the cameras]. This season is my favorite," she said.
