On Thursday, Aug. 28, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star revealed she had been hospitalized on Instagram, but didn't reveal the cause. Then, on Tuesday, she returned to Instagram, where she confirmed she was back home with family.

Along with a photo of herself and her daughter's new mother-in-law, Richards wrote, "@mrsfatburger Royal & Me .... two Mommy's catching up on our newly married baby's.. @brookewiederhorn @twiederd Fate!!!"

For the last couple of months, Richards has been filming the fifth season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and at her side after she was hospitalized were many of her co-stars. After sharing a photo from her hospital room last week, Richards revealed she had received gifts from her sister, Kyle Richards, and fellow co-stars, Yolanda Foster and Eileen Davidson.

Richards also shared a photo of her dog, telling fans Kingsley, her pit bull pup (who is often seen on the show), missed his mommy.

After sharing the initial photo from the hospital, Richards was met with several curious fans, who wanted to know why the reality star was receiving medical care. However, for some reason, Richards has chosen to keep the mystery a secret -- at least for now.

According to Reality Tea, Richards could be keeping her illness a secret because of her contract with Bravo. After all, the stars are often sworn to secrecy when it comes to major life events.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season five premieres this fall on Bravo.
