Kate Gosselin is reportedly keeping her kids from their father.
Following Jon's request to keep their kids off reality TV, which hasn't happened, Kate has allegedly gotten under Jon's skin yet again after failing to allow him visitation with their brood.
“He would love to take her to court and get total custody of his kids,” a source close to Jon revealed to Life & Style on Aug. 28. “He doesn’t want them on TV and he doesn’t want Kate’s influence on them. He’ll do whatever it takes.”
Kate and Jon divorced in 2009 after 10 years of marriage and eight children. After they split, their reality show, Jon & Kate Plus 8, was renamed Kate Plus Eight. The show aired on TLC from April 4, 2007 until Sept. 12, 2011.
In June, Kate and the kids were featured in a two-part reunion special on TLC. On Aug. 19, following the special's stellar ratings (the program attracted 2.1 million viewers), it was announced that Kate and her kids would return for an eight season of Kate Plus 8.
Although the news is certainly great for Kate, who uses her reality income to support herself and her kids, Jon is less than thrilled about the news.
“Jon feels bad for them. It’s not a normal childhood,” the source explained. “They love spending time with Jon and wish they could see him more.”
Kate Plus Eight season eight will begin airing on TLC in Dec. 2014.
